URBAN DECAY launched the latest formula in their REVOLUTION lipstick range recently and i.e. MATTE. I really love me some UD Revolution lipsticks and was quite excited to pick a shade or two but was waiting for Nov to pick some and hence when they had an offer code I picked a miniature for free at SEPHORA with my order.
The shade I’m sharing today is BAD BLOOD which is the only true red from a smaller collection of matte revolution and it is such a WOW shade but yeah to be honest it is easy to dupe.

URBAN DECAY BAD BLOOD is described as Matte Deep Red and true to the description by the company it is cool toned not stark and in your face deep Red shade with soft velvety satiny matte finish to it. The colour is very flattering and will work on all skin tones easily.
The texture is easy to layer and sits pretty on lips and feels comfortable on well conditioned lips and it doesn’t settle in fine lines nor does it fades unevenly. I do find my lips feel dry after few hrs but not something I would consider as con.
The lipstick with mild munching and snacks stays nicely for 5 – 6 hrs easily with even fading and leave behind a red tint which needs to be removed by makeup remover.
The lipstick unlike gunmetal packaging of Original Revolution lipstick is housed in shiny black tube.
And here is how it looks on my NC 37 – 40 skin tone :
On scale of 1 – 10 , I would give this 9 – If you are looking for a matte red lipstick which is not drying on lips and is opaque easily then this is just for you , plus if you want to try new formula please give this a shot . They are not easily available here in India but you can always call for it as so many sites these days’ ships to India. It is quite a dupable shade and that’s why I gave this 9.

MAC Russian Red is very close and so is NARS Mysterious Red pencil and NARS Red Lizard lipstick …
