A Quick makeover at Make Up For Ever !

It was a long time ago, but I still remember my close friends and fellow bloggers feeling so sad that Make Up For Ever (MUFE) would not be available for some time in the Indian market.  But fortunately that sadness was short lived since the brand is back, and bigger than before! You have seen endless reviews from MUFE here and I’m hoping to bring it back to life sooner or later.

When SEPHORA launched in PUNE I was really excited to try the brand again and what better then a MAKEOVER and that too from the person you have always admired.

I was lucky enough to be offered a makeover with MUFE’s National makeup artist “AJOY SENGUPTA” who I know from past 5 years. Ajoy is very stylish along with being excellent at his work .There were so many tips and tricks he shared with me and cleared my doubts on do’s and don’ts and the best one he told me not to use powders for my oily skin apart from “T ZONE” , will share more on that in my next post .

Another great tip he shared was use of kohl on lower lash line, he said that don’t drag the line to inner corners as it defines the size while if you leave it half way it gives the illusion of bigger eyes and also mentioned that black kohl accentuates dark circles so avoid them.

We started off with a clean face, you can see my lips are still painted and I had deliberately put MUFE no 36 rouge artist intense as this is “FULL OF LIFE” shade.

The picture here shows my bare face and the other picture is day time look he did with clean base makeup and soft kohl eyes. He used navy kohl instead of classic black or brown so that it goes well with the dress I was wearing. A light dusting of bronzer on the hollows of the cheeks and blush on full smiling face, I find the soft look to be very much day appropriate.

The first step was to clean whole face and then he used MUFE all mat primer on t zone, followed by MUFE HD no 6 primer all over the face and then 1.5 pump of MUFE HD foundation in shade 123 . He skipped concealer and instead just patted little bit of foundation where needed. After finishing off the foundation he used loose powder on T Zone rather full face, on cheeks he used MUFE blush no 22 followed by a light dusting of bronzer.

For eyes, he applied MUFE Aqua eyes 3 L close to upper lash line and smudged it lightly To give sheen he applied liquid liner and you can see that it lends a nice soft shimmery look.

And here is DAY to NIGHT look :

For night time, he used tints and tones of navy for Smokey eyes and after finishing off he used the same colour family shimmery eye shadow just in the center of lids which added sheen and also used the 3 L liner on lower lash line and just covered 1/4th of the lids, and 8 L silver on lower waterline.

For this look he used a coral lipstick which was little too pale for my liking but guess when I dabbed the colour it was going really well.

I didn’t purchase anything but am very much interested in trying MUFE HD foundation again and also the AQUA liners they offer. I find the HD range is perfect for our climate and this is one thing which I would recommend you all to invest in, from primers to concealer, foundation and setting powder – everything when used in conjunction just makes the makeup stay whole day and still feel that your skin is breathing which I feel is hard to get in other brands.

This might be my first comment I guess!

One thing I want to ask you Rashmi and that is you try many things to take pictures of you to add into your post. Don’t they adversely affect you sometime?

P.S. every beauty blogger must be super hot like you to blog well in this niche. It needs attractive, attention-grabbing images.

The second last image is awesome especially the cat eyes. Damn sexy!

Good luck! you have a great blog. 🙂
