My close friends and regular readers must be aware of my NEW YEAR RESOLUTION which I shared here some days back and I decided to break it around 15^th Jan which is predictable day to break all resolution as per studies . Still it took me 2 days to decide what to pick as I wanted something “GOOD ENOUGH” to excuse myself and that is how when I read post on THE CONSCIENCE FUND on CULT BEAUTY . CO . UK .

I immediately clicked “MAKEUP” , as skincare is something I want to buy in stores and that is when I saw Starlight by Kevyn Aucoin and added in cart. I got my stuff today – 31^st Jan and here is what all happened in between.

Searched what to buy – KEVYN AUCOIN STARLIGHT is priced at £41.40, but when I added it in cart they were showing £28.75 (GOOD FOR ME).

Total bill after coupon – It was my first purchase and they didn’t charge me any shipping else it is free above £ 50. My total was £ 28.75, free shipping and no tax. I used STANDARD Delivery which is free; they have FEDEX as well which is £ 30.

Payment made – I paid by Debit Card and “CANARA BANK” charged me 100 INR per pound whereas the conversion that day was 93.56 , so yeah it was little too much . Next time I try and pay from ICICI BANK.

Order Place – 17^th Jan

Order Dispatched – My order was dispatched on 20^th Jan, after 3 days and that too without any Tracking code.

 

Customer Service – I mailed them 3 days back asking what is the status of my order but no reply. I again mailed them yesterday and still no reply. I then opened their Facebeook page and saw one more customer complaining the same that they don’t revert back. I was very annoyed but thought let me wait for another 5 days and see.

Parcel Received – The postman came today with big smile on his face and a big parcel and handed me, without any signature. I was little confused as whenever I have shopped from foreign sites they took my signature but not this time. The parcel was sent through Royal Mail and was delivered by Indian Post.

Customs charges – Nothing at all and here was no mention of price on the package.

Recommendation – It was my first time and I had mixed emotions – excitement as well as nervousness. I’m glad I received my parcel within 11 days of dispatch and without any customs. But, having said that, if you plan to buy please read lots of reviews around and also it depends on city to city so make sure and double check.
