MAC Pearlglide Liner in Black Swan : it is not LE shade but I happen to pick this LE packaging ( must try in store before you buy )
MAC Apres Chic Lipstick : I called my local MAC to keep a backup as soon as I tried this but it is melting so much so chucked the idea ( for shade point it is 150 % must have however staying power could have been better )
MAC Archies Girl’s Caramel Sunday Quad : Naah … a Big NOOOO
Drugstore Picks from NBC ,KHAR : BOGO … steal the deal with gloss and powder foundation ( I am having high hopes with the shades although I hate this Brand )

I found the discussion very interesting in terms of views n information. I agree with Rashmi on brands like Lakme, Olay, Loreal … Obviously, the ladies do not use the products themselves. And the pro e points for Lakme are ridiculous considering the product quality!
Scarlet, would love to read your article on animal testing! Just wanted to add my 2 pence… AS per my understanding (web based research again)… The Companies who do not do animal testing themselves, do use ingredients which have been animal tested by other companies over the years… So taking benefit of their research! So there is little credibility to their holier than thou attitude of saying THEY per se don’t do animal testing! 🙁

Love crazy fuschia! I too bought it after reading Preeta’s review. The mac in Whitefield did not receive après chic and haute attitude lipsticks 🙁 I was really interested in purchasing them.

Took ur suggestion! Went kormagala Mac. Purchased après chic and haute attitude! Haute attitude is the perfect pinky nude for me. My younger girl told me to buy it. Love the unique shade of après chic as well. U are so popular with the SA there. She was overjoyed when I mentioned that u suggested that I go to this Mac.

Agree with Swarnali, want your views on the Loreal Lippie (it looks good enough to eat!!) and the MAC pro blush….want the review before I buy!!! yeahhhhhh , they spend astonishing amount on adverts and the quality is not even 50 % of what they claim , that’s why i prefer vichy or LRP , at least i get to use good skincare even if the price is steep , the quality is par excellent .
same goes with LAKME , see how much they are paying KK for brand endorsement and the quality of the products they are offering is so poor plus the price ?
wouldn’t you buy a 600/- Revlon lip color or 1025/- Clinique one
I know REVLON also spends on adverts but not the way LOTUS or LAKME do , and not even these two brands Loreal , Maybelline , Colorbar are also included .

No no, not rude at all! I never thought of it that way. If I have understood correctly, you don’t like the quality versus price of Lotus cosmetics? I thought Lotus stuff was cheap – lipstick and glosses are around 250 bucks? I know their moisturizer/sunblock is expensive…
ohhh no no not like they are cheap or so … i prefer the brand who are less into advertising and more on quality 😀 it does not applies to allll the stuff i buy but i prefer it that way 😀

I understand! It’s interesting to see other people’s point of view. My priorities for buying makeup are: most importantly NO animal testing and second is price + quality. I usually don’t think of advertising… 🙂

It’s very difficult to say Rashmi. The world of animal testing is so vague and there is sooo much info out there. I did lots of research on this – can send you some links if you want? Maybe I should do a post on this.
Now there is ban in the EU so no brand can animal test at all. But if they sell in China, then have to animal test. So MAC does do testing for Chinese market but not European market.
There’s lots of companies that don’t animal test – there is benefit, urban decay, makeupgeek, body shop, inglot (not 100% sure), OCC, wet n wild. There’s many more but not coming to mind.
