I picked this long back but was not bowled over to review it quickly as it is part of permanent line and more of a fall shade. The shade is very famous and I have seen people raving this so much but for my medium – dark skin tone it is little too light and I tell you that from my pictures .
Smouldering Plum is described as A Heathered Purple , it is cool toned plum pink shade with barely there sheen shimmer – on cheeks it is almost matte and just a whisper of plum which is not overpowering and easy to wear at any time of the day .
On my NC 40 warm skin tone it is little too light , but considering the colour I am sure it will look stunning if you are around NC 25 -30 or little less .
It is really beautiful shade but with the hefty price tag I maintain that I would prefer a NARS blush which is more or less same if you buy from Strawberrynet.com or SEPHORA … if not NARS then my tried and trusted brand MAC, which offers even more wide range of blushes and finishes or even THEBALM which is another great brand when it comes to powder products.
I get around 6 – 7 hrs of wear with this and it fades evenly; the colour is sheer but still manage to stay good on my oily skin tone for hrs. I find it needs a little bit of layering but still the texture is very fine and not at all powdery or chalky.
It is housed in attractive silver plush transparent plastic packaging, with decent brush for quick touch-ups and a good size mirror. I find it quite pretty for the blush as it looks very neat and clean all the time unlike NARS rubbery black case which is mess always.
On Scale of 1 – 10 I would give this 7.5: Great Packaging, Average Colour, Good if not Great Pigmentation.

Anddddd …… CLINIQUE CHUBBY STICK INTENSE are launched here in India last week or so , I had already bought 3 shades from Macy’s online last week which will be shipped to my friends address and along with that I got some gifts …. will show you once I have that in my hand … hopefully by 15 – 16th April .

Oh..how much I love this blush…its a part of my bridal stash..i know u did not find it pigmented but that the essence of this blush. Since its a whisper of color….u get that wind-swept complexion in a couple of brush strokes..plus additionally the best part is that its less pigmented or else such blushes can make one look like she has a bruise….
u shud really venture into this color and see magically it transforms…loved the eye liner and the rose toned lipstick is scintillating..

Hey you know Rashmi, I really like this fact that even if you do find it hard to use, you still gave this blush a generous 7.5 on a scale of 10; all this based on the stay, the even fading property, the color not only on you (Not being bias) but on the skin shade for which it will be apt to use on (NC 25-30, according to you). Kudos to you… 🙂
