MAC DRAMATIC ENCOUNTER Lipstick (1050/- INR or 16.50 + TAX) is part of MAC GLAMOUR DAZE COLLECTION which launched a while ago. The shade is described as DEEP PURPLE and has AMPLIFIED CREME FINISH. It is very slippery , little bit moisturizing but not overly hydrating formula , where the finish manage to stay for 4 – 5 hrs on me , this being little more creamy the glossiness faded in few hrs while the colour was still there and noticeable .
Where I love the finish as whole this particular lipstick was very thin and feels very light weight on my lips and required 2 coats to get the opaque color . The colour is little too vampy to wear but if you are looking for BOLD FIRCY FALL Lip shade then this might impress you. I wore this as a stain and then topped it with same shade lip-gloss and it was easy on eyes. I must add that the name is so apt; it is dramatic in every possible word. I see the color working across skin tones , just needs some extra effort to sport this fearlessly ….. I was not in that state hence a lip swatch for now .
DRAMATIC ENCOUNTER is not purple to me it was more of a wine shade , a deep dark burgundy wine with cool tones it and there was barely there shimmer in it making the shade little more glossy as compared to other AMPLIFIED FINISH Lipsticks .
I love the finish but this was little exceptional, if I want to use it for a night out I would rather line my lips with MAC NIGHTMOTH Lip Pencil. The new collection lipsticks are priced 60/- Rs more due to different packaging.
And this is how the color looks on my lips : 1. Worn two coats , 2 . Worn as Stain , 3 . With MAC LAP OF LUXURY Lipglass on Top
