I was eying a lipstick from this finish for quite some time as it is much raved product amongst Indian bloggers I wanted to get hold of one shade to see how good it is. While window shopping in Inorbit Mall, MALAD, MUMBAI …  I happen to see “COLOBAR” Stand alone store and swatch some stuff. This was a perfect choice as I was compiling some Fall Lips from different brands.

COLOBAR MATTE LIPSTICK in BLUSH is lovely deep dark cool toned Maroon shade with barely there glossy finish. I loved the colour on whole and finish was also good if not impressive, price tag of 250/- INR was also good keeping in mind we don’t use such shades often.

It is good but not great lipstick; I am not comparing this with REVLON, L’Oreal or MAC…. in 250/- range this is awesome lipstick and not to be missed. If you are going to wear a shade like this often then I recommend trying “ELIZABETH ARDEN “ Range which is decently priced at 650/- INR and packed with added goodness of lots of fancy ingredients .

The lipstick layers opaque in one swipe and stays for 3 – 4 hrs on my lips and then leaves a faint tint without making my lips dry. Once you start using creamy lipstick it is hard to switch to mattes but this one is little surprising…. It is soft creamy very velvety but still matte looking and the big thing is –  it is not sticky like a LOREAL which has a price tag of 900/- INR .

The packaging is nothing fancy and so is the price tag; which is quite justified… You cannot ask for more? These days a MULTIPLEX MOVIE TICKET is 300/- … and you are getting a lipstick .

    Hi Rashmi, have to tell you I finally tried a couple of lipsticks at MAC, quite liked Amorous but didnt pick up anything…hopefully next time 😀

      if you are looking for shades like AMOROUS then I must tell you do try CRAVING , CAPTIVE … recently i picked my friends first MAC and it was Craving as she was looking for plum pink .. and tell you she was bowled over with the color 😀 😀

    Lovely Shade but a bit bold for me n looks fab on ya as always, I have quite a few lippy’s from this range but my all time fav are Forever Mauve & Naked Pink. I totally agree it’s not a wow lipstick but at that price n staying power is worth da outlay. Thanx for sharing, TC 🙂
