MAC MSF Star Wonder ($29.00 + Tax or 1800/- INR for 0.24 oz.) is described as a “plumy pink with multi-dimensional pearl”, it is one of the MSF released with MAC Heavenly Creatures. Star Wonder is beautiful pinkie plum shade with yellow golden sheen shimmer but little too light for my skin tone, I would not consider this as a blush but would love to use this as highlighter with colours like plum matte or pink mattes.
There are beautiful swirls of pink plum and yellow peach on pale golden base. It is more shimmery then Earthshine and hence on my oily skin it looks super shiny sometimes. I have to be so careful all the time, it is not at all forgiving and looks best when paired with blush.
I tried hard to show you the colour on my skin tone but I am not happy the way it is looking in pictures. It is good but not great. IF I have to choose between this and Earthshine I would pick the later one for the fact that the colour is effortlessly visible on my skin tone. I have no qualms with this but personally I loved Earthshine more. If you are lighter then NC 40 then you can give this a shot and am sure you will be happy to see the sheen glow it gives.
It stays for 6 – 7 hrs on me but if I layer this heavily then only the colour is visible and then the shimmer is very much prominent which makes it hard choice for day time . It is super soft in texture but not at all powdery, to me this is the best formula for highlighter, the brush picks the colour in one swipe and it sets on my skin for hrs.
The sizes of the MSF’s in this collection are 7 Gms while the ones I had in past – Stereo Rose or By Candlelight were 10 Gms for 1500/- INR. IT is little disappointing but then over the time they hike the price and reduce the size in most products . I am not going to finish any of the pans but still price vs. quantity factor defiantly not appreciable.

Too bad it doesn’t show up well on the skin,in the pan it looks glorious.though the high sheen and frosty finish means even as a highlighter one wud have to be careful while applying it
