I picked this toner few months back when lovely reader mentioned this is awesome for oily skin. The price was good enough to give it a shot and hence this was added in cart as soon as I saw this in Health and Glow. Nivea is well known skin care brand and it is still used amongst lot of us, especially their heavy duty cream isn’t it??
Long story short , this is good toner which doesn’t strip off my skin , very mild , doesn’t make my skin sticky and oily . It does have alcohol content but that is very mild so I guess you shouldn’t have any problem.
I am not sure with 150/ Rs price tag the product is really worth but one thing is that , it isn’t bad either. It is manufactured in Thailand β¦ not a great point but yeah does matter to me when am talking about skincare. The bottle is good enough to last me long time. I love spray bottle but this one comes with the standard flip top, nothing great about packaging.
The main ingredient is Lactic Acid which is very good for our skin, here is little something from Google: Derived from sour or fermented milk, lactic acid is a popular beauty aid for those seeking to improve their skin’s texture and hydration level. If you need celebrity testimony on the matter, look no further than Cleopatra’s beauty regimen. Even the former Egyptian queen, who was known for her beauty, was rumored to have bathed in sour milk to improve her skin [source: Bond].
The other main ingredient is Carnitine : It is an organic compound, which is classified asalkyl-substituted amino acids and betaines. It is used as a miscellaneous skin-conditioning agent, surfactant cleaning agent and foam booster, as well as an aqueous viscosity-increasing agent.
I was looking for a toner which has Lactic Acid as I saw in one of the videos by Lisa Eldridge , been there done that β¦ I will look for a higher brand toner which has Lactic Acid .
Do I recommend: This is not very great, I love my Clinique Step 2 Exfoliator , but I do use this as itβs very mild and as I usually like to switch between my skincare this is good alternate. I tell you even now while writing this I had this on my skin β¦. I do use this now and then and would say this is not bad at all. If you are in market for budget toner and expecting nothing great , this is right up your alley. I have not noticed anything good but definitely it is not like Himalaya toner which is horribly sticky on my skin.
