Lip Combo – MAC Candy Yum Yum and Pink Poodle

A Matte pink lipstick and that too not only matte but a NEON PINK Lipstick is tough to wear but then we have solutions for everything right ?? This is very new lip color in my stash and its matte ( where are my creamy amplified ??) . Suddenly I am so much into matte lipsticks and thought of trying new shades to work with the colors I have… Matte Lipstick phase as we say!! The Awesome and Wow-est color I have is LADY DANGER and just can’t wait to show you guys.

But for now here is MAC Candy Yum Yum lipstick from Quite cute collection , I know there is no point in reviewing this as its already out of stock everywhere , mine also I picked from NOIDA … can you imagine ?? This is not a review just a lip combo’s as I post here.

Candy Yum Yum is Matte NEON Pink color with hint of lavender in it and I see this will look Awesome with MAC Cultured Lip glass which is lovely lavender color and will tone the lipstick to a great extent. This is surprisingly creamy despite being matte finish and lies smoothly on lips staying good for 5 hrs on me and leaving nice pink stained lips which are equally good to sport the bright color like this.

Pink Poodle Lip glass is cool toned Fuchsia pink color with nice noticeable shimmer in it; it is not opaque and hence is good enough to make any pale lipstick wearable and a matte lipstick a touch of class. Sadly, this is the only bright pink colored lip glass from MAC Permanent range and is a must have in your stash. This and Lychee Luxe are Classic lip glasses from MAC and are not at all dupable. Go Get this ASAP .

And this is how Candy Yum Yum and Pink Poodle looks on my N.E.U.T.R.A.L. Skin tone, yeah its official after the post that I am Neutral Skin tone … HOW?? Okay wait for one more post and you will have an idea.

Both the colors were bright enough to make me wash out but the combination is working , I should have paired Candy  Yum Yum to tone down but as I was in a fun mood thought of making it look  more juicy by adding even brighter gloss .. What say?? Just dabbed the gloss in centre and spreading it outside.

I so loved the combo here but for a toned down version try pairing this gloss like Oyster Girl or Luminary Luster Glass which will help make it look glossy rather than adding any color. Will post this with MAC Cultured for Pink Lilac toned lip color… What say??

This definitely a dead ringer NEON PINK shade and with help of good partner it was way easy to carry… agree?? Have you tried this lipstick from MAC??

    Mac guru…..candy yum yum is not looking that bad……I thought that it was a weird kinda neon pink……but it’s looking really nice on you…….
    But I guess this lipppie will work well only if u have a little makeup on ur face…….I mean a little liner And a complimentary blush…..just like u have done……..but I somehow feel it won’t suit me…….
    And pink poodle……it has to be my next mac gloss fr sure…….I loved it……

    Rash…m amazed at how well u can carry this out..i saw the first pic and was like whoa! this is too neon and wud luk so funny…but when i saw ur pic i must say…i stand corrected….it luks so gud on u..i realise that wid a shade like this its more impt to be able t carry it off and u do that….the colors make u glow and brighten u up very well…luv this!!

    And also Rash..i also wanted t mention…ur smile is shooooooooo shweeettt!!!

    Rashmi glad that u’r enjoying this retro barbie lippie. Its one of those tricky shades to wear. I prefer wearing it with a clear gloss – my motto: let the lippie shine thru. Yes its not as drying as usual mac mattes, but it still gets no love from me as on my skintone it leans too blue and i prefer yellow toned pinks. I think mufe may have something similar… so those who missed out can check there. Or wait for another minute and mac will release its zillionth hot pink lippie for the year 😉

      and yeah lot many collections lined up and ma eying the gel liners 😀

      i only picked this honey as nothing caught my attention and moreover i picked new blushes and lipsticks from BB and NARS so resisted with this coll. 😀

        Rash i got – Sakura blush as i just HAD to buy something with that cute motif 😉 Boldly bare + Insync lipliners (i’ve been using these since the ‘too fabulous collctn’ so needed back-ups) The rest of the collection was a mix of colours i already had or were of such poor quality/pigmentation that i cringed to see them carry the mac logo.

    Lovellllyyy lipstick…..I am a fan of neon colors but I must say u should leave your makeup subdued and natural so that the focus is on neon lips….Keep the eyes bare with just some lengthening mascara and add a contour to the cheeks….

    U cud also try keeping the eyes and lips bare and use a blooming bright pink or orange blush. It looks amazing.
