My first ever THEBALM Product review here although I use their concealer as well but it will be in my next post .. lets jump for Bronzer now and welcome the whole Summery feel

WHAT IS BRONZER ?? (source http://www.ehow.com)

Bronzer is a cosmetic agent applied to the skin. It makes skin appear “brighter,” as if it received sun exposure. Both men and women use bronzer for various reasons.

Form

  • Bronzer is available in powder, cream and gel forms. Powder is best for oily skin and cream works well with dry skin.

Colors

  • Several color options are available. Selection is based on an individuals skin tone; fair skin uses the lightest color available.

Application

  • Apply powder bronzer with a brush and cream or gel bronzer with a finger or makeup sponge. Use bronzer sparingly, a little bit goes a long way.

Additional Uses

  • Uses for bronzer include covering stretch marks, scars and other skin blemishes. Bronzer also helps disguise the appearance of freckles.

Locations for Use

  • Apply bronzer to the face on the chin, forehead, cheeks and nose. Depending on the clothing, brush the tops of the shoulders with bronzer also.

TheBalm’s Bahama Mama Bronzer is definitely one of the best ones available in market at very reasonable price and is such an under rated product , its wonderful natural matte brown color with no orange or red undertones , no shimmer or glitter and looks awesome when applied with light hand

The packaging is not very great comes in cardboard box and is very small with mirror and no brush COOL … the product is very finally milled and pigmentation is awesome , love this for the fact that this is easy to layer kinda product coz you will never go wrong with the application right ?? Wrong right ?? I mean you will never go wrong in applying this  hmmm yeah actually I myself am trying with different blushes and brushes and every time its looking awesome GUESS who is praising me ??

It looks perfect brown color to contour your cheeks and the best part its non shimmery , as its very fine powder the brush picks up enough color in one go and then you can layer according to how much color you want , I use Essence of Beauty Slant Brush to apply this … another MAC Brush is being added in wish list ??

And here is how it looks on me , I have Make Up for Ever HD foundation , TheBalm Anti-wrinkle concealer and this Bronzer applied with slant blush brush under the cheek bones or what we say hollow of the cheeks , bridge of nose and on forehead … and to give nice shade where ever needed

Here are my pics with NARS Lustre Blush , I hope you can make out the difference , the shimmery blush goes well with matte bronzer and doesn’t accentuate my pores

with NARS Lustre Blush
with NARS Lustre Blush

If you look for bronzers in market what you will encounter is golden shimmer and orange based pressed powder but this one is way different as being completely brown with absolutely no shimmer , it looks fab when paired with good nice blush gives very edgy feeling to your whole face , I love to pair this with shimmery apricot color or coral peach blush although I think this would look wonderful with any color

Would look wonderful on our Indian skin tone so please try your hands in getting this , it is one of the BEST Bronzers around waiting for all your attention

beauty and TheBalm
Marissa Shipman’s search for the charmed life leads her to all things beautiful

When Marissa Shipman decided she had had enough of the corporate world, she took matters into her own hands and started thinking of a way to marry her love for beauty with her desire to work in an environment where she could think outside the box. She envisioned a place where everything smelled delicious (no, not exactly a bakery) and where people looked and felt fabulous. So, instead of searching for this perfect environment, she decided to create her own world of all things beautiful.

She started by ordering 11 books on how to create makeup from scratch and literally began mixing in her kitchen. For anyone who knows Marissa, this impulsive nature to act is not hard to believe. Her degree in theatre didn’t exactly help when it came to reading the chemistry formulas, but she was able to master one thing: creating the classic formula for a balm which included shea butter, beeswax, and castor oil. And believe it or not, this is how TheBalm was born.

While beauty means different things to different people, to Marissa Shipman it means being kind to others, loving your pet, excelling in what you’re good at, not being afraid to indulge in dessert, having wonderful friends, maintaining great relationships, and looking (as she would say) “damn fine” while doing it.

TheBalm does indeed help you achieve this “damn fine” persona. And even better is that their products are made with only the best ingredients to give you a beautiful, totally natural look. Many products serve dual purposes and provide a quick fix to make you look and feel your best anytime, anywhere. They are also known for their amazing formulas, gorgeous shades, clever designs, and sexy shade names that are hard to forget like “Curvy Cami” or (ahem) “Down Boy.”

“The sassy names we give our products reflect the personality of TheBalm,” Shipman says. “It’s a mix of sexy and serious, smart and funny, romantic and rebellious.

🙂 I am superliking this look…Very summer-ish and does wonders for you.Not only does it give you a gr8 sculpted look, but it makes you positiely glow!! Pls do come down to Pune sometime..just to teach me makeup!! hihi 🙂

What I like best is how you’ve coupled the blush and the bronzer and blended so well..And I know I raved about this yesterday, but your new hairdo looks so wow!

Rashmi, I wanted to ask you about ordering blushes online..I’m a bit skeptical coz blushes are so fragile and there’s a chance of breakage during transport & delivery..How do they package the product? I wanna buy Sugarbomb so bad but I’m unsure about the transport thing…

    • rashmi says:

thank u sooo much Zara 🙂 glad you like it dear ….
i have purchased all the blushes online .. here .. and even USA as well … they come very secured
are you sure you wanna buy sugarbomb ?? but from where ??

it hardly shows on my skin go for coralista instead or bella bamaba they r lovely 🙂

      • Zara says:

I was thinking of buying it from their site(if they ship internationally) or else maybe cherryculture or ebay..not decided as of yet..

Sugarbomb isnt buildable at all kya? The 4 shades in it peaked my curosity so was thinking of going in for it…But if its too sheer, then it doesnt make any sense to go for it..I do have blush shades similar to bellabamba..maybe I shud give coralista a try… 🙂 Thanks for the heads up 🙂

        • rashmi says:

its good but not one of the best ones available 🙂
u can buy from their site they ship and charges are very minimum however if you buy for $ 115 shpng is free
you can club with your frnds for that ….

i have all the reviews if you have seen them or you want me to club on one post ??

          • Zara says:

Yeps…I have seen all the posts..I keep referring to all ur past posts and reviews whenever I plan to buy something..Helps me loads..Sach me 🙂 Even as i write this, I have 3 more windows open with reviews on all 3 blushes! hihi.. 🙂
