MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation – A Review

As you all know i only believe in using tinted moisturiser but then again sometimes i did find that i do need to have
one foundation for some post and pictures , so after trying a lot of times i ended up buying MAC’s Studio fix Powder
Foundation in NC 35 , reasons i settled down for this one …

i have combination to oily skin so powder would be best suitable for me as it would soak oil and my face would not look oily or cakey…

i wanted medium coverage so powder would be again best as it gives sheer to medium coverage compared to liquid foundation which gives full coverage

i can use it for touch ups in between as it is easy to carry around , so this was fitting in perfectly as per my requirements

how i use – i apply my moisturiser with spf wait for 10 – 15 min , then apply this with powder brush , i have heared you can use foundation brush too and sponge too but i haven’t tried as i like the sheer to medium coverage , lately i have started using bourjois kabuki brush for this and my MAC MSF and it also works fine , if i am going out for a party in evening i do apply my MAC select Cover up concealer NW 35 for even good coverage , it does look nice and i finish with MAC Blot Powder for touch up here and there i mean specifically on T zone , or sometimes i use MAC’s Beauty Powder for extra glow … i would show you pics with that some time 🙂

i was matched NC 40 several times in MAC but i looked very yellow with that , so i thought let me give this one a try although MUA wasn’t fully convinced but i asked you try this one and it was perfect on me , what i like – it doesn’t oxidize by time , it gives me good coverage for 4 – 5 hrs in summer , winter is yet to arrive so i am sorry i am not able to comment about that

the applicator is stored seperately so no worries about that and you can even wash the sponge that comes with i havent coz i dont use it much 🙂

Price – 1600/- INR is on higher end side but again it will last me very long so i dont mind

My take – if you have combination to oily skin and struggling with the T zone problem or oiliness on your face try this one it is handy to carry , easy to use , doesn’t look cakey , provides good coverage

ohh no sweetie i appreciate u asking 🙂
dear i am also not a pro but to my basic knowledge
blot powder is used to remove excess oil from face can be used over liquid foundation , powder foundation and as it is i mean over ur moisturizer

pressed powder foundation is suitable for the people with oily to combination skin to keep greasiness at bay , it gives light to medium coverage wheres as there is no coverage with blot powder

basic diff… blot powder as the name goes soaks oil from face and powder foundation as the name goes is foundation but in powder form , both can be used together but in proportion otherwise face will look very powdery … u know na , u dont have to use blot powder on whole face if u r using powder foundation be careful 🙂 otherwise ur face will look dry
      i hope this helps
my friend anamika from wiseshe.com has written very good article on foundation , i will just check link and will mail u ..
